Zhuo Ya Interview - Helicopters and off road pre wedding portraiture



Hi Everyone , I'm in this little box down
here and my name is Nat from Easy Camera Lessons and today we are interviewing this amazing
photographer Zhuo Ya who you can just call Ya. He is from New Zealand and I've seen his work
in a few photography groups and I was just blown away by the quality and the huge setups
and the amount of work that goes into your stuff. So firstly I wanted to ask you , how do you
classify yourself as a photographer? Well I mainly stay in weddings and commercial. I prefer to do some fashion but I'm in Christchurch
so I dont get much fashion work to do.

So mostly 90% of my work is weddings and pre-weddings. Thats 90 % of what I'm doing now. I would like to do other work, other work
coming in. I will just have to put my commercial and
fashion ideas into the wedding and prewedding shoots.

Yeah thats interesting actually. Sort of like a justice, thats probably my
style at the moment I just put a little bit of commercial work into the wedding photography
area. So youve taken the sort of amount of production
that would normally go into a commercial shoot and sort of applied that to a wedding photograph? Um I try to create it easier , simplified
version of commercial photography in the wedding, this is what Im trying to work out at the
moment. So because when we are going out to shoot
normally there will be five or four of us including the bride and groom.

So the amount of labour involved in to this
is small and is much less team than commercial shooting so I just have to figure out what
I can carry and I can put in reality to a shoot. Sometimes there is a little bit of a struggle
, you have to balance it , you may have a good idea but you cant actually put it into
practice because it's too much work. Some of the locations that we go to is not
like park and shoot location so you have got to have a little bit of hiking around. Yeah we are limited by the gear we are picking
and just have to plan really well yeah.

So um you are in New Zealand and youre work
is kind of like seems to be really like involved in the landscapes , did you shoot landscapes
before you shot weddings in New Zealand? I mean how do you find these amazing places
that your photographing in? I think any place in New Zealand is beautiful
you just have to find the right angle to frame it up and also the right lighting for it. Alot of places I shoot is not actually famous
or um you know when you maybe go under a tree and climbing into a tree somehow , there is
a lot of places. I live on a farm and I have got a lot of things
to shoot in my farm so yeah just you know after dinner you got out and have a cup of
coffee and you see the light and its perfect and you light and shoot. And is it cold? I mean I saw one photograph where you had
a bride and she had jeans and sneakers under her dress? So sometimes its a bit cold is it? Yeah it's really cold.

Some places we go are really cold. Especially we fly out to one the Southern
........ And then there is a snow landing , trust me it's not that warm. Is that the one with the helicopter bts.

Yeah often we head of to different destination
so it's quite exciting a lot of places like the locations we just take a guess, we havent
been there so we think ohh that might look nice so let's go have a look. Then we fly out and we have to do a shoot
there because it's always surprising. Your working not just in new Zealand, are
you working in other countries as well? Yeah I do work a lot in China , HongKong and
Australia, Sydney and Melbourne and then I. Do a bit of work in Europe.

Yeah right cool and how does you know like
Hong Kong has beautiful mountains and stuff but its a bit more built up , how do you find
locations when you are going to other countries? We just shoot in the city. In the city in Hong Kong yeah. Thats one thing people ask me on facebook
aswell people say hey I saw you are doing a lot of landscapes I would like to get you
to come over to Paris for a workshop. So I say great , he says but we have to get
you outside of Paris.

I say why?Because you are shooting landscapes. No I said thats because Christchurch has no
city!!! Oh right you dont have a cityscape so you
have to like .. .Yeah well thats cool. In China we shoot a lot of buildings and it's
also beautiful.

You just have to , with environmental photography
I think the key thing is you make your frame and then you find a spot to actually place
the subject into. So your subject wont be lost, get lost in
the large frame. And so you were saying before that you do
a lot of that previsualising , people might ask you because your work is really highly
produced like that you just photoshop it and thats how it looks so amazing but you were
talking about the light and the previsualising. How are you working with light in those situations? Basically I shoot about in New Zealand Im
doing about sixteen to twenty weddings a month so it's a lot.

Woah. Yes it's a lot and um I dont get much time
off. Ive just been shooting for ten days. I shot six couples from all different parts
of the world and then some of them are two days and one day and three days so I basically
just have to shoot everyday and in every weather condition so I've been shooting in strong
wind and strong rain , even once I've been shooting in hail.

In what? In hails , hail. Oh no way really? Yeah . Thats quite fun yeah, I like dramatic
weather I mean dramatic weather makes dramatic pictures. I love the weather changing so , it's hard
work, it's hard work for the bride and the groom but luckily my clients when they come
to me they know it's going to be a hard work but they just so much want the good pictures
so they don't mind.

So yeah so they will just , luckily they trust
me so they if they have to stay in the rain they will stay in the rain yeah, it's really
good. They like know that you are adventure wedding
photographer. Um maybe yes , I'm not that terrible :) So
speaking of gear I noticed you are using a Hasselblad, can you tell us a bit about that
camera? Hasselblad is a great camera , it's got it's
limitations I like to use it just for some clients they , some photos they have a requirement
to print huge pictures so I would use that, in that kind of situation. Hasselblad is an expensive camera, it's perfect
gear for a shoot in studio but taking it out especially over those mountains it's not that
, it doesnt work in the rain like a Nikon does.

So I'm usually using D4 if the weather conditions
arent good, if it's raining or snowing, it will always work, but Hasselblad it needs
a lot more attention and a lot more care. So I do , I use it for some clients who like
large print and the higher requirement. I have a client in HongKong who wants to blow
up his photos into a hundred square metres poster to be hanging outside of his building
so it's gunna be huge, so in that case yeah so I use the Hasselblad to shoot to just make
sure that when it is blown up that maybe it wont be blurry. How big? 200 Square metres? Yeah 100 square metres, it's huge , its like
a billboard , it's just like how you do the billboards advertising on the street.

They are actually printing them out with a
huge printer you know they produce things they can put outside of wedding, thats quite
common in China but not that common here. They might do something here but not 100 square
metres. That is so big that is still a big billboard
though. Yeah it's like ten by ten.

Yeah like the ones on the way to the airport
in BKK they are massive ones. Like really big ones , way bigger than Adelaide. We dont have billboards that big here. The other day when you did the livestream
you did a behind the scenes and you did a livestream with the drone, did you have your
phone on the drone? Like how did you do the livestream from the
drone that was amazing.

Oh yeah my assistant does that . The drone
has got a camera yeah its DGI drone so um yeah you can actually use the drone to straight
go live on Facebook or on Instagram. Your phone actually connects to that to camera
in the drone and then the drone transmits the video into your phone and the phone transmits
the video onto facebook. Yeah I wondered because it went quite high
and I thought if there was , I didnt know you could do that but if there was a signal
between the drone and the phone it seemed quite a long way away to be ...

Yeah it can
go up to six kilometres, it's quite amazing technology. You are bringing in stuff like that all the
time do you you do video with weddings aswell or are you just doing stills? Yep we do video , we do recording and then
ahh we record, because every trip to shoot the wedding photos is adventure as you say. We like to record it. So we have got three , I've got one Gopro
on top of my camera and then we've got a drone in the air and then we've got an Osmo , Osmo
is like a metal stabiliser camera that my makeup artist uses to record the thing so
after that we do an interview of our client and then we sort of like cut them together
so that's the video for them.

I like to give my clients a time capsule that
is like a container thats sealed , so I normally do a video for them and ask them to speak
to themselves in thirty years time . Oh really? SO when they are old they can actually see
when they are young what they thinking of themselves, it's quite amazing because you
know the wedding it's a big thing on the day and it's a life changing time so I like to
record what they want to tell each other and they also imagine life in thirty years when
you are getting old when you are still holding her hand , yeah its, one day you look back
at the video and see wow when you were still young and were just starting the beginning
of the journey with each other, what are you going to tell yourself in thirty years time. I've found that that is really interesting
because it makes me get to know my client more and get to know their story and so it's
very touching after a while when they go back to watch that they say wow not even not thirty
years later even five years later they will feel a lot of difference. And would you have any advice for people getting
started in wedding photography? Well a lot of people say wedding photography
is not art that it's actually recording and they just dont have time to think but I think
yes you dont have time to think when you are doing the photograph but you do have time
to think before.

So planning before you even go there , plan
it like before everything even happens so you know people , they are going to walk over
there , they are gunna stay there , what time are they going to do this what time are they
going to do that , do a lot of planning and thinking about the picture in your head, so
when the picture actually comes into your eyes it looks very familiar and you know everything
. I do check the exposure and the lighting before hand as well so I like to do that so
when the people they are walking in through the carpet I know where is my light and I
know what sort of settings I have to do with my camera to get what I expected of the picture
so I think that's very important. Yeah that's really good advice. You can plan it ahead then you wont be struggling.

Because you dont have time to think a lot
of time , it's turn up and shoot. Yeah for sure you dont want to miss things
with weddings. Yeah exactly and also do communicate with
your client because weddings are really a big day to them so when they have their wedding
they have a lot of guests that are coming from far away so after the ceremony they always
tend to be talking to them and it's very hard to drag them away from their relatives and
friends to do photoshoots , so you just have to communicate and plan really well. Because as a photographer it is your duty
to capture the beautiful moment for them and often your client have no control over the
time.

By the time they realise oh I just finished
talking with that friend oh it's time for the reception. So you just have to communicate with them
really well and manage the time really well and sometimes just you have to balance it
out so you can get the shot. Just remember they are very nervous as well
during the wedding and some of them get really excited and they don't really listen to what
you are saying so you just have to plan really well and give them there relaxing time and
doing the simplest posing the simplest communication and get a result. And what percentage of your clients would
do a pre wedding shoot and a you know how does your business, do you do mainly like
pre wedding shoots and then like lots of like full days aswell? Does one overide the other? Well kind of like pre wedding is a cultural
thing for Asian people , so there is a lot of Asian countries they do have pre wedding
culture so basically this is a part that you plan for your wedding.

This is one of the must haves. So like sometimes a year even six months or
even a year ahead of your wedding you are actually going for prewedding shoots. And it's a custom that you display your prewedding
photos during the wedding so when the guests are coming into the reception and sitting
there waiting for dinner they can watch a big screen and an album is on the table to
see the prewedding photos. Yeah I think its just a different culture
because in the past you dont actually wear a wedding dress on the wedding day in Asia
so but all the brides really want to wear that one , so that do it before.

And then what do they wear on the wedding
day? Oh in a traditional wedding they wear the
traditional wedding dress. Its very fancy yeah more traditional yeah
lots of wedding gown type thing . But down its changing , everything is changing the
custom has been passed on. Thank you very much for talking to us Im sure

My keys! Now, we run! I'm on my way to the hair sallon   Excus... Baby? What are you doing here? Who's Baby are you talking about? Ohhh, sorry, i thought you where someone else...

What a jerk, my God! Some water, please! I will give as much water as you please sweet boy... No, not again.... Why are you still like this? We're late! Late for what? For our wedding! The wedding? The wedding is tomorrow... Tomorrow??? Baby, wake up, wake up, wake up!!! What now??? You won't believe what i saw...
That we where late for our wedding...

Speechless Not Your Typical Pre-Wedding Jitters



There I was eight years ago my wedding
was just in a couple days and I was really excited but I was nervous about
one thing one very strange thing actually you know in the observant
circles there's a custom that's kind of like the Jewish version of the bachelor
party that a groom just the Shabbat before the wedding goes up to the Torah
to say a blessing over the Torah on the Shabbat before the wedding
he's called up in a nice singsong everybody shears or claps and throws
candy at the groom that's what happens usually it's pretty quick simple nobody
thinks too much about it but I was freaking out about that particular
blessing I was supposed to make over the Torah why let's back up a couple years I
grew up with a debilitating stutter I. Couldn't speak I couldn't order pizza at
the pizza shop I couldn't answer a question in class I couldn't say the
word hello over the phone and I often couldn't even say my own name that's how
badly I stuttered thankfully I was able to find ways over the next number of
years to word switch which means I. Creatively find ways that when I know
that I'm going to stutter on a word I. Maneuver around the word and I use a
synonym a different word I'm able to get around it that's why I'm able to do
these videos going into the wedding that blessing had me freaking out because
that blessing I can't word switch I.

Can't use synonyms when I'm making a
blessing at the Torah there's set text that I got to write
about God and about the blessing and about the Torah there's nothing else
that I could do. I was really nervous. I. Was okay with the fact that I stuttered
I became comfortable with it in my teenage years but I wasn't in the mood
for a full-out stuttering episode in front of all the future family friends
and cousins and neighbors who were coming to celebrate and we're all
excited for this particular event.

I got it to the tour anyways and I decided I'm
just gonna do this and if I stutter it's okay my hands are sweaty my palms are
wet and I look inside the Torah so that the
person beside me who's reading can show me the first six words where he's about
to begin.  As soon as my eyes connect with those six words I start to not just
shake but to tremble tears well up in my eyes.  Those six words absolutely blew me
away. The following are the six words VaYomer
Hashem el Moshe, God said to Moses, or Moshe or Moe my Hebrew name Moshe.

Again
God said to Moe or Moshe al tira. Al tira - do not fear - God said to Moshe al
tira do not fear do not fear God was telling me Moshe
don't fear. He wasn't telling me Moshe it's going to be easy.  He wasn't telling
me Moshe it's going to be smooth it wasn't smooth and it wasn't easy it's
not smooth and it's not easy but He was telling me these two words that stay
with me every single day al tira do not fear I'm here with you I love you I
care about you more than you can possibly imagine
I know it's hard with your stutter but don't worry I'm with you it's there for
a reason al tira it's all for the best those
words out here I have stayed with me ever since.

Every day I think about the
words al tira whether it's worrying about my stutter or other challenges
that I go through al tira God gives them to me with love He takes care of me
He is involved every single moment of my life.  Sometimes He will send these
prophetic messages and other times it seems like He's hiding but He's always
there.  Al tira. Let us all recognize that message about
tira whether it's VaYomer hashem el Moshe insert your name there.

God wants us to
recognize that He gives us everything with love with care with compassion the
challenges our beautiful gifts they're just wrapped in
different way.  May we be blessed to incorporate that message into our lives
and lead much more meaningful and happier lives as a result.

Pre-Wedding Week! Outdoor voices, wedding dress, facials.



Running can't do I I almost hurled she did good. She did really good She was a mile and a half run and I almost hurled that's not good Never wake up early We're doing like a coffee I wouldn't know but I'm very excited. We're in our Channel We tried to run All right, we're heading out but for some motivation before we go Like it started Literally husband That's another Matter to shape. I just there's something you may know something in the air.

It's not us. It's the city Okay, so I'm not gonna lie We stayed and took some more pictures because one we love pictures for two we also just really wanted to walk back instead of running cuz We're out of shape. Yeah running shape. We're out of running.

Yeah running jump. It's a full different kind of shape Yeah, that was hiking shape though, totally GJ cycle I can SoulCycle all day and I'm good or yoga yoga Yoga all day. I can hold those poses. That didn't sort of Korea involved in yoga, but SoulCycle I feel like is actually Pretty hard and you're an accumulated cycles running can't do I almost heard she did good She did really good.

She was a mile and a half run and I almost hurled that's not good She was just Dooley she'd even sweat Alright, we're walking back But we got some really cute stab motion pictures and fun stuff and most importantly we got to see that outdoor voices object Augmented reality store mented reality story Brad their voices so fun and Got to work out many beer and he's awesome shoes Like so bouncy and amazing So maybe right now The energy got absorbed into all the sun's thoughts freckles They are darker initially, but that will be blond and then a sort of flake and do their thing over the course of this week's Yeah I was there back in a month. So Ayla ended up scheduling me at the wrong time so I Came over to my dress fitting and tailor-made just picked up my dress it fits perfectly And I'm so excited and I'm headed back to get this no makeup face a facial okay, so this is a cute little place that I'm going to I. Just wanna hold you I just wanna look into your eyes and tell you that I want you You know you make me feel so fine. I is nothing in my I love it when you kiss me love it we touch every smile Glare happening for my son thing, but I have on no makeup, and it feels so even and great.

Pre-Wedding PlanningHow to Plan a Rehearsal Dinner



So you're planning the rehearsal dinner, and
you're not quite sure where to start because you've never planned one before. Hi, I'm Jessica
Meiczinger, and I'm going to talk about how to plan a rehearsal dinner for an upcoming
wedding. First of all, usually it's the groom's parent's responsibility to plan the rehearsal
dinner for the wedding. You want to take into consideration the guest list.

Figure out who
you want to invite to the rehearsal dinner. Typically it's the bridal party, the bride's
parents, immediate family. But other times if you're having a destination wedding or
you have a lot of people coming in from out of town, you invite those people to the rehearsal
dinner as well. Second of all, you want to pick a location and typically if you're having
the wedding at the hotel, I would go ahead and have the rehearsal dinner in the same
location or somewhere nearby so people don't have to travel too far to get to the rehearsal
dinner spot.

If you're looking to do something fun, you could do something casual poolside.
You could have a bar-b-que. You could do something out on the beach. If you want something to
be an ice breaker and get people mingling and talking and having a good time, do something
fun like go bowling or go sailing or a dinner cruise, just kind of a nice ice breaker to
start off the wedding weekend. Also you want to take into consideration if you're doing
a theme, plan your menu around that.

If you're doing like a Mexican Fiesta, go ahead and
do you know Mexican theme dinner items or appetizers. If you're doing something poolside,
maybe do a Caribbean theme menu or seafood, especially if you're getting married in Florida
or along the coast. Another idea for the food is that you don't want it to overshadow the
wedding reception's menu. So you don't if you're doing a plated dinner for the wedding
reception, do something different for the rehearsal dinner whether it be a different
entree or maybe doing a buffet, having something a little less casual.

Also things to consider
when you're doing a rehearsal dinner, you don't necessarily have to have a full bar.
You can just offer a cash bar to your guest or you can just do it keep it simple with
some nice coffees and teas and beer and wine and and call it a day. So those are just some
ideas on how to plan your rehearsal dinner for your upcoming wedding. Again I'm Jessica

Pre-Wedding PlanningHow to Make a Wedding Candy Favor Buffet Table



So you've decided on your favors and you want
to go ahead and do a candy buffet for to offer your guests for your wedding favors at your
wedding reception. I'm Jessica Meiczinger with Simply Divine Events, and I'm going to
talk to you about how to set up your candy buffet for your wedding reception. First of
all, you want to go ahead and purchase a bunch of different styles, types, and sizes of containers
as well as scoops. You know on-line is a great resource or you can buy them wholesale or
in discount stores.

One thing to keep in mind is make sure they're tall to fit certain candies.
Also make sure the neck and the opening of the vase is wide enough so you know you can
scoop out the candy easily. When choosing your candy, keep in mind the bride and groom's
favorites. You can add personalized M&Ms. You can do your favorite candies that you've
enjoyed growing up.

You could do stick to one type of candy like all chocolates. You
could also pick out candy that's geared towards the color that of the theme that you incorporated
in your wedding. You know if you do red, do like all red jelly beans and Twizzlers and
lollipops. You know offer a wide variety to your guests.

And it's just a really fun idea
and every you know everybody who's young at heart loves candy. And make sure you get little
containers. You can do like little cellophane bags. You can do little Chinese to go boxes
or little cake boxes.

And just write a little thank you note to the guests and have them
you know just mention you know how sweet it is you know that you are able to attend the
event celebration you know is sweet. Just some little cute little tag lines to you know
thank the guests and incorporate with your little favors. So those are just some ideas

Pre-Wedding PlanningHow to Make a Seating Plan For Your Wedding Dinner



So you've planned all the details to your
wedding, and you've gotten all your RSVPs back and you're trying to develop a seating
plan for your wedding dinner. Hi I'm Jessica Meiczinger, and I'm going to tell you the
steps and what to do in planning your seating arrangements for your wedding dinner. First
of all, you want to be familiar with the venue. Go ahead and get a blank floor plan or pre-arranged
floor plan from the catering manager at the venue or the caterer or the facility manager
if you're having it not at a hotel.

Also you want to go through all your wedding invitations
and RSVPs and make sure everybody's accounted for. You definitely don't want to leave somebody
out. And then you'll want to go ahead and start you know grouping the people that know
each other you know family members, friends, you know bride side, groom side. And start
you know setting your tables out.

When doing your floor plan, you want to make sure the
family tables are the closest to the head table, which are the two closest tables to
the top. And then you know branch everybody else out in groups from there. Also keep in
mind you know if there's anybody pregnant or with kids, seat them close to the restrooms
and kind of away from the entertainment so they have easy access to move throughout the
evening. Also you know keep in mind your elderly guests as well.

You don't want to seat them
too close to the entertainment because they usually don't like the loud noise and want
to just kind of sit back and relax and enjoy themselves and talk amongst their peers. When
you do the grouping, you want to go ahead and group them by table. Here we've done a
little chart. It demonstrates the names of who's sitting at that table, the name or number
of that table, and also what the guest is having.

And you know sometimes you might have
a guest that has special dietary needs or is having something different than all the
rest of the guests. So you want to make notations on this you know seating chart as well. Once
you've done that, you want to go ahead and print your place cards and make a copy of
the seating chart and the floor plan and give those to your wedding coordinator, also the
banquet staff, your catering manager as well so that way they can ensure smooth dinner
service throughout the evening at your reception. So again I'm Jessica Meiczinger with Simply

Pre-Wedding Fights Episode 101



[Music Playing: Suzanne Vega Toms Diner] Lip Syncing: I am sitting in the morning at the diner on the corner. I am waiting at the counter for the man to pour the coffee.  And he fills it only halfway and before I even argue,  he is looking out the window at somebody coming in.  Doo doo doo doo doo da doo doo da da doo doo da da doo doo  Doo doo doo doo doo da doo doo da da doo doo da da doo doo Caller: Hey Kristin and Dannielle, this is Allie.

  Im calling because my girlfriend and I never fight usually...   We just recently got engaged,   and now were starting to fight over the wedding planning.  Its getting to the point where Im just agreeing with everything she says, just so shell stop.    What should I do?   I dont want a wedding, but I dont like anything that weve planned.

 Thank you.    Wooooow. You know what I mean? I do know what you mean.  Its like, the thing about weddings is its like collaborating on a work project.

(Dannielle: Right.) Right? Like, its like you, in normal life, you and your future wife probably dont work on things like that.  You know? Its like she does her thing, you do your thing. But you dont have to, like, actually create an event together.  I dont think that you should be backing down for everything because youll just end up resenting your...

 Beyonce.  You know what I mean? You are saying, I dont want to deal with the fighting so Im backing down to avoid the issue. But as with anything else in life, it doesnt work. (Dannielle: Yeah.) It actually hurts way more than it helps when you back down on somebody elses wishes.

So, I think you need to have a sit down conversation, and it needs to not be like in the middle of doing a wedding thing. Im going to suggest holding wedding forum meetings. You can call them that, or you can call them, like, fun time with ice and wedding talks. Oh, thats better.

Or whatever. Whatever, you know, suits your fancy. You sit down, and the point of the meeting isnt to plan anything, right? Youre not going to, like, try to check off lists, or like write out invitations, or whatever the hell youre doing. Youre just going to check in with each other on the plans that youve made the week prior, and that you are planning to make the week coming up, and talk about them in a calm, like, cool situation where you both hear each other out.

I also think this is a very good map for any fight. Because you...I mean, if youre fighting and youre both on opposite sides of the argument or whatever, you can sit down and... You arent even going to touch a napkin.  Youll literally never see a napkin. You wont see a napkin.  So like remember that, remember what the day is about.

When I went into my wedding, my goal was that all of my guests had a really good ass time.  That was it. None of the colors mattered.  None of it mattered.

It was just I want everybody to have fun.  So make sure theres drinks, and make sure theres food. Yeah, I had a lot of fun.  Oh, and good music.

Pre-wedding excitement, hiking and wine!



I'm headed back to New York City. And why, might you ask? So Connor and I hopped a train from the
city up to the Hudson Valley to do one of our favorite things. What are we going to do? We're going hiking! Here's what we're packing:
water, sunscreen, sunglasses, dates almonds, crackers, cheese, and Bota Box wine. I mean, we ARE in celebration mode! We're going to keep it local, and we're hiking the Greenport Conservation Center.

Ready? Let's do this. Whew! It's getting toasty. Let's continue. This is what he does, he's always looking
for critters, wherever we are.

What'd you get? It's a froggy friend! -Lil' bud.  -What's his name?  -Frances.  -Frances the Frog?  -Yeah -Ribbit, ribbit.  -Do you want to hold him? Time to let you go, buddy.

Look at me we've got! Let's take a break

So hello guys this morning this time we are going to have photoshoot. Good morning guys, we are about to go to Nusa Penida for prewedding session. That is our boat. One hour more sleep (1 hour from the port to Kelingking Beach).

I Tried Meghan Markle's Pre-Royal Wedding Rituals



- Meghan Markle becomes
royalty this Saturday when she marries Prince Harry at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Along with most of England and America, I'm obsessed with Meghan Markle. She's just so cool.

She bucks royal traditions
and wears jeans, and not pantyhose, to royal events. She also rocks that messy little bun. Plus, she's not having
fruitcake at her wedding, which is like, good on you Meghan. You have your cake and eat it too.

Meghan and I also have a ton in common. She's getting married soon,
I'm getting married soon. Her name has a silent H,
my name as a silent H. - Follow me, but don't talk to me.

- She acts on the small screen, and I act on the even smaller screen. She's about to become
an American princess, well, technically a duchess,
but let's not get into that. I'm an American who's name
means princess, in Hebrew. Okay, so maybe not like a ton in common, but we're about to have a
whole lot more in common because I'm gonna try to do all the things Meghan does in order to
get ready for her big day.

That's right. I'm gonna go on morning runs, use her celeb endorsed face lotion, take that crazy Pilates machine class, and get a buccal massage, which is probably not
what you think it is. - Open up, just getting to
know your mouth a little bit. - Hopefully, then I can be as cool and chill a bride as Meghan Markle.

Meghan says exercising keeps her grounded as well as in shape, so I
started doing what'd she do. I took a run in the park. She follows that up with
meditation, so I did that. This kinda feels like a waste of time, but then again, it's nice to
have a little rest I think.

Honestly, I started the
day feeling pretty great. It was a good idea, thanks Meghan. So after that, I tried that luxe skin gel that Meghan is rumored to use, Biotulin. It's dubbed Botox in a bottle, and I don't even understand
how that is possible, but I implicitly trust everything Meghan puts on her face
because she is gorgeous.

(Choir music) Then, I went to this wedding dress expert to try to see if I could steal Meghan's actual bridal style for the day. I'm here with Susan Spring, and Susan is going to give us information on wedding dresses. - Whatever she wears is gonna definitely come crashing down on bridal fashion. - She couldn't give me the inside scoop on what design Meghan had actually chosen, but she could give me her educated guess.

- Meghan Markle definitely
could lean towards the bohemian, but I think that she's going
to follow the other trend, which is beautiful classic ball gown, because Meghan's a pseudo princess. She'll have some sort of lace or beading. She's gonna have a super long train because of the cathedral. Something really giant
is gonna overwhelm her, so something fitted, and
chances are, very covered.

There are some companies that produce copycat dresses almost overnight. With Kate Middleton, I
must've gotten 15 calls from fashion magazines asking if we had a little chubby sweater, like the one that she had
worn to her evening reception. You never know what part of her outfit is gonna be the one that
people want to mimic the most. - Meghan reportedly will wear two dresses, so she could have both.

But, my wedding budget only
includes room for one dress, so I'm just gonna have
to take that chance, that I will be copying the soon-to-be ubiquitous wedding style. Then, because Meghan loves to work, I got into this royal
approved Pilates class. Meghan Markle does this really intense type of Pilates called Megaformer Pilates. Well, okay, I couldn't find exactly that, but I did find a similar
crazy machine Pilates class.

Meghan Markle does a version
of the classic machine, so we're gonna try. They kinda look medieval, don't they? They look like medieval torture machines. What's this machine called? - Cadillac. - The cadillac, okay.

- That's called the reformer. - And that's the reformer. All right. It was intense.

- Chest up, flow backwards, use your core. Form follows function. - Okay. - [Anthony] Then you can
know what is functional about what we're doing.

- Yeah, Meghan has balance
and serious core strength. Maybe a little too intense for me. After that, it was time to relax with a type of facial that
Meghan reportedly recommends. - Today, I'm going to be performing my signature facial
treatment, the buccal facial.

- And to be clear, we're
not taking out a belt buckle and hitting me with it, it's different. - No, no no. Its B-U-C-C-A-L. - I am trying to prepare for my wedding the same way Meghan Markle is for hers, and she apparently loves this.

- She does. A lot of other celebs love it as well. Kate Moss, J-Lo. It's pretty popular and
it's a natural alternative to things like Botox and fillers.

- Meghan walks in, she
lies down, then what? - I start the treatment by
just looking at your skin, analyzing, see what's going on. Then I move onto
cleansing, facial cupping, which kind of gets the lymph going. - I need to be careful,
I could fall asleep. - [Danna Voiceover] This
isn't a fluffy facial.

We're creating a microtrauma to the skin by the repetition of the movements, so that the skin can jumpstart the production of collagen and elastin. - What are we about to--
- Now we're gonna be doing the inner mouth massage, which is the wow factor in all of this. - The buccal facial includes
a massage in your mouth. Yeah, at first I was pretty horrified.

outside simultaneously, and I'm able to really
access the tiny muscles that we really never stimulate. This area is what makes a lot of people look like they're
frowning as we get older.

- Sounds like this helps
with resting bitch face? - Exactly. - And you know what? It actually wasn't bad. It was kind of like a
facelift without the surgery. - I made you look like you're 20 now.

- Meghan Markle is like,
36 and you're like she-- - Is she? No way.
- Yeah. She does not look it at all.
- She does not look, well, she gets the buccal facial. - There you go. Afterwards, not only was
my body tired from Pilates, but my face was tired
from the facial workout.

While getting ready for her wedding, Meghan is avoiding alcohol, but she still finishes the
day with a glass of red wine in order to unwind from all that stress. Her wine blog, Tig, was named after her favorite Tignanello wine, which costs around 90 to 120 bucks. - What did you figure out? - I didn't have that
much budget remaining, so I settled for a bottle of $10 wine, and gulped down a glass, or two, or three. Okay, so being like Meghan Markle was way harder than I thought.

Sure, she looks cool and chill, but she puts in the work to get there. Then again, I'm getting ready
for a wedding for 150 people. 18.7 Million people watched Prince William and Kate
Middleton's wedding on BBC One. She will have the pressure of millions of pairs of eyes on her.

I don't, so I'm going to enjoy it, but I'll definitely be
following her recommendation for a daily glass of wine. To Harry and Meghan. Congratulations on your wedding. (Upbeat music) - Ahh.

That's good. I can't imagine how good the $90 bottle of wine that she drinks is. I don't have very high class taste..

Ep #1 Prewedding



   Help me out! Hi guys! Hi guys! What was that? Sorry... Today.... Is 29th of this month. Rachel is about to be arrived at the aiport We're going to pick her up with the rest of us.

With the rest of the team I mean. The make up artist team, ... And then... Who else? Stylist team and Rachel's friends.

I saw her Snapchats and she just went home from... She just watched Niko's performance 30 minutes later they went to the airport. It seems that she has no time for sleep. That's amazing.

We'll have a three days full of photo shoot. A very very very very very full schedule It will be so tight. A super tight schedule. It will be like we wake up at 4 AM every morning Hope we all can wake up and stick to the schedule Today we're going to have two themes.

The first one will be in a hotel. I mean in a villa. So we rent a villa. Which we also use it for the photo shoot It looks really good...

...In the photo. I haven't seen it myself. Later I'll give you guys the room tour. Room tour...

The second one will be a casual photo shoot on the beach. The fancy one. I mean like that kind of wedding photoshoot with 'running to each other' pose yeah like most of wedding photos we see. After this we will take pictures in the villa. This villa is awesome Arshya! He's the stylist. Look at his stuff there are so many of them his suitcase... So willingful That will be the first look their outfit It's so good.
